The Australian labor market frequently experiences a shortage of several healthcare professionals. Consider the nursing profession, which has never been removed from the list of occupations in Australia. Being a registered nurse in Australia increases applicants’ chances of finding work quickly, and many healthcare organizations are prepared to sponsor applicants.
An appropriate skills assessment is a requirement for the majority of Australian skilled visas. An assessing authority designated by the Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) is responsible for conducting this evaluation. When the assessing authority has reviewed applicants’ talents and determined that applicants are qualified to undertake the job that applicants have indicated they are interested in, to a level that is anticipated to be advantageous to the Australian labor market, this is known as a “suitable skills assessment.”
The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council is the authorized assessment authority for the majority of healthcare professionals (ANMAC).
