An Expression of Interest (EOI) is a formal submission to the Department of Home Affairs communicating the reasons why you meet the criteria to be qualified to apply a Skilled Migration visa. NAATI CCL:
A CCL result or credential letter is valid for five years from the date of issue.
Results issued before 9 August 2022 are valid for three years. NAATI is not able to amend the expiry date of a credential that has already been issued.
Professional Year Program:
The Professional Year must be started AND completed within the 48 months prior to invitation. The full 12 months of the program needs to occur IN the 48 months prior to invitation.
Partner English Test:
It is valid for 12 months for meeting the functional English requirement and 3 years for the point claim as a partner with no skill but competent English.
Overseas and Australian Work Experience:
Significant Australian and international skilled employment within the 10 year period immediately before the date the applicant was asked to apply for this visa can be measured for the reason of awarding points. Periods of employment don’t have to be constant because it is the totaled period of important work experience that will be considered and ought to meet 20 hours per week remunerated for the period claimed in your EOI.

The test must be completed not more than 12 months before lodging the visa application or can be completed during visa application processing.
- An Australian Assessment of Communicative English Skills (ACCESS) test result at the functional level, certified by the relevant testing body. The test must be completed not more than 12 months before lodging the visa application or can be completed during visa application processing.
- You have completed all years of primary education and at least three years of secondary education at educational institutions in which all instruction was conducted in English.
- You have completed at least five years of secondary education at institutions in which all instruction was conducted in English.
- You have successfully completed, in Australia, at least one year of full-time or equivalent part-time study towards a degree, higher degree, diploma, or associate diploma at an institution or institutions where all the instruction was conducted in English.
- You hold an award (being a degree, higher degree, diploma or trade certificate) that required at least two years of full-time study or training and all instruction (including instruction received in other courses for which you were allowed credit) for that award was conducted in English.
- Applicants who were at least 18 years of age at the time of application and are assessed as not having functional English at the time of decision must pay the relevant second instalment of the VAC before their visa can be granted. The amount at this stage is AUD 4890.00.
